Isuzu Motors Limited (headquartered in Shinagawa, Tokyo; Masanori Katayama, President and Representative Director; hereinafter “Isuzu”) is pleased to announce that the all-new MU-X, a passenger pickup vehicle (PPV) has been awarded a five-star rating in the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) under the new protocols that comprehensively assesses the safety of new vehicles. Following the start of export to Australia in August 2021, the new MU-X will be rolled out to other markets across the world*.
The new MU-X launched in Australia is equipped with the Isuzu’s Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) just as the D-MAX one-ton pickup truck which also received a five-star rating in the ANCAP in September 2020. Reliable real-time detection of obstacles, regardless of day or night, is made possible by superior stereo cameras. It is equipped with the latest safety features including the Multi Collision Brake that applies the brakes to mitigate a subsequent impact when a vehicle has been involved in a collision. These safety system among other advanced safety features, the new MU-X was highly rated in the ANCAP.
