Toyota Motor Corporation has cancelled orders of the sports utility vehicles Land Cruiser-300, Land Cruiser Prado and Harrier due to production disruption caused by the shortage of semiconductor supply line, this will affect 3.8 million units Toyota received orders in 2022.

Customers are being asked to switch their orders to other Toyota vehicle or simply get refund. The situation may push Toyota to the 2nd position from current largest auto-maker in the world.

It is believed to be the first time in Toyota’s history that an order received by Toyota has been scrapped due to non-supply of computer parts. Toyota has announced it was forced to stop taking orders of the Land Cruiser-300, Land Cruiser Prado and Harrier due to non-supply of semiconductors.
